Windows Server 2012, đang trong giai đoạn thử nghiệm beta, có nhiều cải tiến tính năng đối với Remote Desktop Services nhằm cải thiện hiệu suất hoạt động qua WAN. Trong Windows Server 2012, công nghệ RemoteFX (được Microsoft giới thiệu trong Windows Server 2008) sẽ giúp cải thiện đồ họa bao gồm phim và ảnh động hiển thị trên máy khách.

Giống với động thái đơn giản hóa các phiên bản Windows 8 dành cho máy tính cá nhân, Windows Server 2012 được Microsoft giảm từ 12 bản ở thế hệ trước xuống chỉ còn 4 trong hệ điều hành máy chủ mới nhất của công ty. This article describes a process to create a bootable USB drive which can be used to install the operating system. Have you ever noticed how long it takes to load the operating system when using a DVD? Transferring your files over to a USB drive makes loading the operating system faster and  gives you the ability to load the operating system on devices like tablets that don’t support optical media.

I’ve seen a number of notes and blogs on the Internet on how to create a bootable USB Key to put Windows Server 2012 and/or Windows 8 on it and they all probably work well, but just about the simplest and easiest method I’ve used is to leverage the Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool FREE from the Microsoft store.  As I ready myself for a number of Windows Server 2012 events and Hands on Labs, I needed to create a number of bootable USB keys for attendees and this is just the most absolutely pain-free way to do it.  No manual command-line tools, just a quick app to get this several step process done neatly and cleanly.  Installing Windows Server 2012 or Windows 8 from a USB key is one of the fastest ways to do it, and this is a simple way to make it happen quickly.
